$28m Rolls-Royce Boat Tail, World’s Most Expensive New Car, Spotted On The Road In Dubai
The world’s most expensive new car, the Rolls-Royce Boat Tail worth $28 million, spotted cruising on the road in Dubai.
Bespoke car finished in ‘Oceanic Blue’ reportedly commissioned by a loyal Rolls-Royce customer based in the Middle East.
American music couple, Jay-Z and Beyonce, also rumoured to be one of three customers who approached Rolls-Royce for this taylor-made ride.
The three clients who commissioned the Rolls-Royce Boat Tail remained anonymous up till now, nearly two years after the unveiling of the automotive masterpiece inspired by the boats and everything nautical.
Speaking at the launch of the new car, Rolls-Royce CEO Torsten Müller-Ötvös said :
“Boat Tail is our most ambitious project yet. Coachbuild, in collaboration with its clients, has ignored all preconceived notions of possibility and set a new standard. This is Bespoke at its purest.”
Months after the unveiling in May 2021, the first of the three unique coachbuilt creations was seen driving towards Dubai’s man-made Palm Jumeirah in the United Arab Emirates.
This particular example of the 19-foot long bespoke luxury car finished in ‘Oceanic Blue’ was reportedly commissioned by a wealthy loyal Rolls-Royce customer based in the Middle East.
“We have created a trio of exceptional cars which, although they share a common body style, are each imbued with the unique, highly personal imprint of the commissioning patron, thereby telling differing stories. Boat Tail is a distinct counterpoint to industrialised luxury.”
American music couple, Jay-Z and Beyonce, had also been rumoured to be one of the three customers who approached British luxury marque Rolls-Royce for one of this taylor-made ride.
With a price tag of over $28 Million, the commissioned Rolls-Royce Boat Tail arrived at the time of debut in 2021 as the world’s most expensive new car, a record it still holds up till this moment.
In addition to taking four years to design this bespoke ride from the ground up, Rolls-Royce said it created 1,813 completely new parts for the Boat Tail.
