Tesla Could Soon Be Without Elon Musk As CEO

Tesla could soon be without Elon Musk if shareholders do not agree to a large payout to Musk. The chairwoman of the Board of Directors, Robyn Denholm, warns about this.
Tesla CEO and founder Elon Musk does not receive a salary for his work for Tesla but is paid an amount every so often that is determined based on Tesla’s results. As a result, he is now waiting for an amount of no less than 51.5 billion euros. Previously, he was also legally entitled to this, but a judge ruled earlier this year that, from now on, shareholders must approve Musk’s payout. Robyn Denholm is now warning those shareholders that they better do that.
According to the Australian Drive, Denholm writes in an open letter to shareholders that a lot is at stake. Musk could just leave, she suggests. According to her, it is therefore ‘more important than ever’ for shareholders to adhere to the payment agreement made with Musk. According to Denholm, Musk has “no shortage of ideas and other places where he can make a big difference in the world.”
