Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale Is “Beautiful,” According To McLaren P1 Designer

Frank Stevenson, the famous car designer, is still enthusiastic about the Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale, which the Italian manufacturer introduced almost two years ago, promising to produce only 33 examples.

It’s a car Stevenson calls one of the “most stunning” of the last few years. However, despite Stevenson’s praise, he reveals to Britain’s Top Gear that the car is “still not perfect” and has “room for improvement”.

Stevenson criticizes the chunkier design of the rear end, pointing out the distracting location of the license plate and other styling flaws. Stevenson, however, praises the design of the front end of this Alfa, calling it “fantastic”, although he wonders if perhaps the headlights should be more rounded.

Alfa introduced 33 Stradales in August 2023, although it sold all examples almost a year earlier.

The 33 Stradale can otherwise be equipped with a V6 twin-turbo engine that delivers more than 629 horsepower, with an eight-speed DCT transmission, rear-wheel drive and an electronic limited-slip differential.

The electric configuration delivers more than 750 horsepower with a WLTP range of 450 km. Performance is outstanding in both versions. The maximum speed is 333 km/h, with a time from 0 to 100 km/h in less than three seconds.
