Ogun State Begins Fumigating Markets, Shops And Public Places (Photos)

Ogun state government has started fumigating their markets and shops across the state. The fumigation exercise began at Kuto Market in Abeokuta, the State Capital. The Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Tokunbo Talabi, said the exercise which was done simultaneously in Ijebu-Ode, Sagamu and Ilaro, would see markets, parks, police stations, schools, shops, among others disinfected.
“We are deploying different grades of equipment appropriate for different purposes. The equipment is big fire trucks, backpacks and other equipment mounted on vehicles as well as about 900 personnel that have been assigned in all the four divisions of the State to carry out the fumigating exercise”, he explained.
He also said that the chemicals used for the fumigation exercise are nontoxic and will only kill germs and viruses. Since the coronavirus outbreak in the country, States across the country are also doing the fumigation exercise. This in Ogun State is a preventive measure against coronavirus pandemic.
