A Car Tuner In Ladipo Upgraded 2012 Bulletproof Toyota Land Cruiser Into A Bespoke 2019 Masterpiece (Photos)

This customised bulletproof 2019 Toyota Land cruiser by Lagos-based tuner, RoofEdges_Autos, started life as a 2012 version of the SUV.

The Toyota Land Cruiser is one of the grandest SUV on earth. The latest generation has a cabin that can put some five-star hotel rooms to shame.

To get behind the wheels, you will need to fork out between ₦40-50m for the unarmoured version and ₦100m for the bulletproof model. With the aforementioned prices, most Nigerians will rather go for the old and cheaper version of the SUV.

But a Nigerian car modifier, RoofEdges_Autos; have somehow found a way to make the previous generation of the Toyota SUV into the latest bespoke model.

Located in 1 Osoro street, Ladipo, the Lagos-based tuner was able to fully strip down and rebuild the 2012 model of the SUV.

The result is a bespoke build, adding luxury and refinement to this working vehicle.

On the outside, the 2012 Land cruiser received changes to body parts like the front grille, bumpers and a boot replacement.

Inside, the seats, dashboard, and steering wheel, have also seen latest touches. An android screen and a head rest DVD have also been installed during the build process.

According to the Facebook page of the turner, the upgrade can even confuse the Japanese automaker, Toyota.

This upgraded bulletproof SUV is one of several new builds on the tuners facebook page.

Toyota Land Cruiser

The Toyota Land Cruiser is hugely popular in Nigeria.  The SUV is Toyota’s longest running model and the 2nd longest SUV in production behind the Chevrolet Suburban.

As of 2019, the sales of the Land Cruiser totalled more than 10 million units worldwide.
