ABT Fits The Audi RS3 With An Insane 630 HP

With the second of three numerically limited creations with which the German tuning company ABT celebrates 130 years of existence, the Audi RS3 arrives, whose 2.5-liter 5-cylinder engine develops as much as 630 “horses” and 700 Nm of torque.

After the recent presentation of a numerically limited edition based on the Audi RS6 (ABT RS6-LE 800), the first of three planned projects with which Kempten celebrates the 130th birthday of the famous tuning company ABT, the second part of ABT’s “trilogy” has arrived on the scene, the basis of which was the smallest model from Ingolstadt that is “signed” by the Audi Sport department.

ABT will offer Audi’s sports compact RS3 (whose designation also includes the number 630) in only 30 copies globally, and with the last existing 5-cylinder turbo gasoline engine (whose working volume remained unchanged) numerous hardware and software improvements have arrived, after which the person behind the wheel can count on an additional 230 “horses” and 200 Nm of torque, because the standard RS3 in the latest version with it brings with it 400 hp and 500 Nm of torque.

In ABT, they do not mention acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h (the standard model arrives in 3.8 seconds), but they found that the RS3 630 with a substantial additional “stud”, for the activation/deactivation of which the ‘myABT’ application installed in the multimedia system is prepared, develops slightly more than 300 km/h.

The car is mounted on reinforced 20-inch wheels (ABT High Performance HR20) in gold color with 245/30/20 tires, and in addition to several new aerodynamically optimized carbon body components, support for the engine’s potential also comes from a multi-adjustable suspension with different stabilizers on both axles.

For the RS3 630, which comes with the inevitable “1 of 30” plate in the dark cabin, you need to allocate 67,500 euros, which does not include the car itself. According to Hans-Jürgen Abt, in addition to celebrating the company’s jubilee, their very rare “beast” also represents a farewell message for the last and one of the best 5-cylinder engines, whose story in Europe should end in the middle of next year.
