Aston Martin DBX707 SUV Medical Car, which also ran on Thursday, returned the driver and his passenger to the pits.
The specially equipped Aston Vantage and DBX707 SUV returned for 2024/25 Grand Prix season in March.
Both cars are finished in the same ‘Aston Martin Racing Green’ as the single-seater Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team AMR24 cars.
An Aston Martin Vantage F1 Safety Car driven by Bernd Maylander crashed into the barrier at Alboreto during the high-speed track test at the Monza circuit on Thursday ahead of Italian Grand Prix 2024.
Bernd Maylander took the Aston Martin Vantage F1 Edition for spin around the track as part of the regular preparation ahead of an F1 weekend, when the incident happened.
Luckily, Bernd Maylander (and his passenger) did not suffer any injuries after loosing control of the Aston Martin Safety Car at high-speed crash before plunging into the tyre barriers.
“The safety car has ended up in the barrier at parabolica. It was doing its test laps when it failed to take the right hander and is now wedged underneath the Tecpro barriers,” wrote Kym Illman F1, who described himself F1-accredited photographer.
The high-performance Aston Martin DBX707 SUV Medical Car, which also ran on Thursday, reportedly returned Maylander and his passenger to the pits.
