Audi Showcases The Interior Of Its Forthcoming Q9 Large SUV

Mercedes has the GLS, BMW has the X7, and Audi… has had absolutely nothing in this segment until now. That is about to change with the Q9, the first Audi ever with a ‘9’ in the model name. The Q9 will therefore sit above the already spacious Q7 and the slightly less spacious Q8, although the Q7 will be presented in a new form very soon and more or less simultaneously.
Today, however, it is not about the as-yet-unrevealed exterior but about the interior. Audi is sure to reveal the inside of its most spacious SUV at just the right time and promises that the car will come standard with three rows of seats. In principle, this amounts to seven seats with a three-seat bench in the middle. In that scenario, the Q9 is a sort of ultimate family vehicle, and there are no fewer than six Isofix child seat mounts present: on all rear seats plus the front passenger seat.
Separate seats
Those who prefer more luxury rather than more seating can opt for a second row with two separate electrically adjustable seats for an additional charge. There is no shortage of electric motors: all seats are at least partially electrically adjustable as standard, and even electrically opening doors are available. A gigantic panoramic roof is also standard, by the way, and it can also be opened. For an extra charge, you can equip it with segmented electrochromatic blackout blinds and LED lighting; it is tinted as standard. There is therefore no roller blind for this window, because according to Audi, that is not necessary.
The interior of the Audi Q9 is not too surprising for those familiar with Audi’s current style, but logically, it is on a higher level than that of the Q3, Q6, and Q5. Think of more leather, more ambient lighting, more speakers, and more options regarding colors and materials, with wood and wool among the possibilities. Audi promises an exceptionally impressive ‘4D’ audio system in collaboration with Bang & Olufsen, where you can hear and feel the sound. USB-C ports can be found throughout the interior, and those who select the right options can expect power outputs of up to no less than 100 watts.
July 29
Curious about the rest of the Audi Q9? Then you will have to be patient a little longer, because Audi won’t officially unveil this model until July 29. We will also have a new video for you then, featuring an extensive look at the exterior and the positioning of this largest Audi ever, in addition to the interior. One thing we know by now: it is not electric.
