Check out a Made-in-Nigeria Rolls-Royce Sweptail that the designer created from a Toyota Venza SUV.

The original one-off Rolls-Royce Sweptail was based on the Rolls-Royce Phantom Coupe and hand-built for over 4 years.

At the time of its debut in 2017, the Sweptail was the world’s most expensive new car, costing around US$12.8 million.





A Nigerian, Mr Nonso Offor, has shown off his own version of the one-off Rolls-Royce Sweptail, a large luxury car that was commissioned bespoke in 2013 as a one-off automobile, at the request of an unnamed super-yacht and aircraft specialist.

Viral pictures of the stunning Venza-based Rolls-Royce Sweptail-wannabe was shared by the creator and the semblance has made netizens to commend his efforts and creativity.

Unlike the original one-off Sweptail that was based on the Rolls-Royce Phantom Coupe and hand-built for over 4 years, Nonso crafted out of his impressive ride out a Toyota Venza Crossover SUV.

Other notable differences between the two cars is that the one-off Sweptail which features a large glass roof has two doors, while the other has four doors, including a rear Suicide doors.





At the time of its May 2017 debut at the yearly Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este event, the Rolls-Royce Sweptail was the most expensive new automobile in the world, costing around US$12.8 million (about N5.3 billion, excluding taxes and destination charges in Nigeria).

The Rolls-Royce Sweptail remains one of the world’s most expensive new cars as well as one of the world’s engineering marvels to date. It was the most expensive new car ever before being displaced by the Bugatti La Voiture Noire which sold for US$18.7 million, which has since been overtaken by the $28 million Rolls-Royce Boat Tail.
