From Davido and Funke Akindele, to Pasuma and Liz Anjorin, here are 12 Nigerian celebrities who acquired luxurious cars in 2021.
1) Liz Anjorin
Nollywood actress, Liz Aishat Anjorin, started the year in style by splashing out millions on a Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon SUV.
Sharing a photo of herself posing with her latest ride on Instagram, the award winning controversial actress “Thank God” for making her “join the biggest *G* geng”.
2) Toyin Abraham
38 year old actress mother of one Toyin Abraham also joined the Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon gang in February.
The arrival of Toyin’s ride was announced on Instagram by her fellow movie star Nkechi Blessing Sunday.
3) Destiny Etiko
Also in February, actress Destiny Etiko acquired a brand new Toyota Prado, joining her ever-growing automobile collection.
The Nollywood actress took to her Instagram page to share photos of herself posing with the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado.
4) Funke Akindele
In April, Funke Akindele walked into Lanre Shittu Motors in Lagos and signed a check for the purchase of a brand new Lexus LX 570 Super Sport sports utility vehicle (SUV).
Announcing the arrival of the SUV, her husband, JJC Skillz, congratulated with the caption :
“Hard work pays my darling. Congratulations for your new ride”
5) JJC Skillz
Days after Funke gifted herself a Lexus SUV, her husband, Abdulrasheed Bello known, professionally JJC Skillz, also splashed out on a brand new Toyota Land Cruiser Prado SUV.
The 44 year old also took to his Instagram page to share the news with his fans. He said :
“To God be the glory Tear rubber part 2 Thank you to our family and friends.”
6) Alexx Ekubo
Nollywood actor and model Alex Ekubo-Okwaraeke, professionally known as Alexx Ekubo, also gifted himself a Toyota Land Cruiser sport utility vehicle (SUV).
The news of the acquisition was made known by his pal, IK Ogbonna, in a short clip posted on his Instagram page.
7) Pasuma
Alhaji Wasiu Alabi Otedola, popularly known by his stage name Pasuma Wonder, wasn’t left out as the fuji maestro joined the Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon gang.
Pasuma turned up in style at his daughter’s wedding days after taken delivery of his latest ride, the Mercedes-Benz G-Class.
8) Zubby Michael
Nollywood actor and movie executive Zubby Michael also joined the ever increasing number of celebrities who have splashed millions on a Range Rover SUV.
9) Davido
Singer Davido, in May, took to his Instagram page to show off his latest addition to his impressive car collection, a Rolls-Royce Cullinan SUV.
The Cullinan, was one of three rides that joined his impressive garage in 2021 as he also got a Toyota Prado SUV from Wema Bank as part of his partnership deal.
Earlier this month, Davido also splashed out ₦285 million on a Lamborghini Aventador sports car to celebrate a successful 2021.
10) Actor Yul Edochie
In September, Nollywood actor and producer Yul Edochie acquired a Lexus GX 460 luxury SUV after waiting for sixteen good years.
His Lexus GX 460 is a full-size luxury, SUV, boasting both potent off-roading and luxury features.
39 year old Yul, the son of actor Pete Edochie, prayed that the next 16 years to be more fruitful.
11) BBN Angel
In November, Angel Smith, popularly known as Angel in the just concluded BBNaija Shine Ya Eye edition, got herself a Range Rover SUV.
According to Angel, the British made luxury SUV is one of her several goals for this year, along with the desire to “get an apartment and publish a book”
12) I Go Save
Earlier this month, Popular Nigerian comedian Otaghware Otas Onodjayeke popularly known as ‘I Go Save’ also splashed on Lexus LX 570 SUV.
The news of his new acquisition was shared by comedian and friend, I Go Dye, on his Instagram page.
“All d blood money don dry ,…na brain money Dey work na .Congratulations my brother @igosave on your new babe.”
