Fashion House Louis Vuitton Releases $28,200 Bicycle, Cost More Than 2022 Toyota Corolla

Would you pay $28,200 to ride in style with the new Louis Vuitton bicycle that cost more than a brand new 2022 Toyota Corolla?
The bicycle, named Bike PM Step-Through, was co-produced by fashion house Louis Vuitton and Maison Tamboite.
French fashion house and luxury goods company, Louis Vuitton Malletier, commonly known as Louis Vuitton, has released its latest product – a luxury bike, co-produced with Maison Tamboite.
Named Bike PM Step-Through Monogram, Louis Vuitton’s new bike epitomizes French craftsmanship. It is meticulously handcrafted and assembled at the Maison Tamboite studio in the Bastille district of Paris.
The bike rides on a 27.6 inches/70 cm diameter tyre and features a Monogram canvas-wrapped frame, a red leather saddle with Monogram perforation as well as a red leather with black edge tint on handlebar and cables.
Other features includes a Red leather with black edge tint on handlebar and cables, a 2-speed crank, a Mechanical disc for front and back brakes as well as a Rim and mudguard made from red-tinted wood.
But Bike PM Step-Through Monogram Canvas, just like any other Louis Vuitton products doesn’t come cheap as you will need $28,200 (N11.6 million) to buy one of these luxury bikes on louisvuitton.com and in Louis Vuitton Stores.
To put the price in perspective, a a brand new 2022 Toyota Corolla has a starting MSRP price of $20,075 for the LE model. This price rises up to $23,650 for the Hybrid LE, $25,975 for the XSE and $28,360 for the XSE Apex Edition.
Note : These are dollar prices as you will need to pay more to buy Toyota Corolla in Nigeria when cost of local taxes and destination charges in Nigeria are added to the MSRP prices.
