First-ever 2021 Lexus LC 500 convertible sells for an eye-popping $2 million. That’s about 22 times the retail price of $92,300.

The first-ever production 2021 Lexus LC 500 Convertible Inspiration Series VIN 100001 was snapped up at Barrett-Jackson’s Scottsdale auction on Saturday night for an eye-popping $2 million.





Bids for the supercar escalated quickly to seven figures within a minute before hammering down for an incredible 22 times the car’s retail price of $92,300.

All proceeds from the auction will be donated to the Boys & Girls Clubs of America and Bob Woodruff Foundation charities.

This one-of-a-kind 2021 Lexus LC500 Convertible is based on the Inspiration Series. It is distinguished by its Blue exterior paint and a door that has a “LC Inspiration Series Launch Exclusive 1 of 1” inscribed into it.

The car has as a unique blue brake calipers and a Liquid Platinum-colored headlamp, side mirrors and taillamp garnishes.

Apart from the car, the lucky buyer will also get the following. A framed sketch of the LC Convertible, a portfolio with production-line photos, and a custom Zero Halliburton luggage set.

Powering the Lexus LC 500 Convertible is a 5.0-liter V8 engine paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. This engine makes 471 horsepower and 398 pound-feet of torque.

The 2021 Lexus LC 500 Convertible Inspiration Series VIN 10000 will be delivered in July 2020.

At the same auction, the first-ever 2020 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray also sold for $3 million. The proceeds will be donated to the Detroit Children’s Fund.
