Honda Launches The All New Passport SUV For 2026 With Its V6 Engine Still Retained
Honda has launched the new Passport in the US market, calling it its “most adventure-ready SUV and the most capable Honda SUV ever.”
As stated, the new Passport gets a “powerful 3.5-litre V6 engine” (with 285 hp and 355 Nm of torque), a 10-speed automatic transmission and an I-VTM4 four-wheel drive system.
Modified suspension, improved braking system, wider wheel track, longer wheelbase (+ 71 mm) and shorter front overhangs are also mentioned.
Also, with the new exterior look comes a more modern and spacious cabin with the latest features and technology (10.2-inch digital screen for the driver, 12.4-inch infotainment screen, Bose audio system with 12 speakers).
Honda will offer the Passport in three trims (RTL, TrailSport and TrailSport Elite), each with unique styling cues. The Passport RTL features a black fascia, black trim, silver front and rear guards and 18-inch wheels with 31-inch all-season tyres.
The TrailSport and TrailSport Elite feature metallic silver accents, a gloss black fascia, gloss black detailing, and orange hooks. They also have higher ground clearance and 18-inch wheels with General Grabber all-terrain tyres. Honda will offer the Passport in eight colours, two of which (Sunset Orange and Ash Green Metallic) are exclusive to the TrailSport.
Passport buyers will also have an assortment of aftermarket accessories to add to their SUV with Honda’s “broadest line of genuine Honda accessories ever.” It’ll have wheels, rock sliders, scuff plates, MOLLE boards, and more
The Japanese car manufacturer did not announce the price, so here is just more information the already old model in the US started at $43,795.
