Stallion Motors is set to launch Hyundai Kona electric car (EV) into the Nigerian market.

Hyundai Kona EV will be the first all-electric SUV in Nigeria, as well as Nigeria’s first locally made electric car.

Stallion Motors, Nigeria’s leading auto assembler and franchisee of nine global brands, is set to launch the Hyundai Kona electric car into the Nigerian market.

The grand launch of the award winning Hyundai Kona electric crossover SUV will take place today, Friday 13th November, 2020, at VON automobile Nig. LTD, at Ojo, Lagos.

In addition to being the first all-electric SUV in Nigeria, the versatile and powerful battery-powered Hyundai Kona is also Nigeria’s first locally made electric car.

The move to launch an electric car into the Nigerian market is part of the Stallion Motors’ drive to sell ecofriendly cars in the country as countries around the world are speedily replacing internal combustion engine-powered vehicles with EVs.

The lifestyle-oriented vehicle, first launched from South Korea in 2017, combines cutting edge technology with the sophisticated design of a small SUV.

With a 64-kWh battery pack that allows a 300 miles (482 km) drive on single charge, Kona Electric is here to change the way people think about going electric.

The Kona Electric’s power packed performance provides a thrilling driving experience with high acceleration over long distances.

The launch of the EV into the Nigerian market comes three months after three Hyundai Kona electric SUVs exceeded 620-miles on a single charge to set a new range record.
