INEOS Temporarily Halts Production Of The Grenadier SUV

The company Ineos temporarily stopped the assembly line at its factory in Hambach, France, which stopped the production of the Grenadier all-terrain vehicle.
Production of the Grenadier Quartermaster pickup has also stopped and may remain so until 2025.
According to reports, the problem is clearly not with Ineos, nor are there mechanical problems. Instead, the supplier that produces one part is the reason for the downtime. Ineos does not specify the name of that supplier, and it is not known which part is involved. But it is significant to the point that, apparently, there is no solution to restart things.
It is possible that it is a Recaro. A representative of Ineos told Automotive News Europe that the troubled supplier is “in a pre-insolvency situation”. Recaro Automotive filed for bankruptcy at the end of July, citing “significant financial difficulties due to extreme price increases in the last few crisis years and the loss of a major contract.” The company planned to continue manufacturing seats and fill existing orders during the bankruptcy. It is unclear if anything has changed since then.
