Lagos Adopts Concrete Pavement For The 18km Eleko-Epe Expressway
Lagos adopts concrete pavement for the 18km Eleko-Epe Expressway in Lagos State.
The first phase of the project, stretching from Eleko to T-Junction in Epe, is expected to be completed in 20 months.
When completed, the road will connect Eleko, Onosa, Alatishe, Aiyeteju and Ajaganagbe
Other communities that will connected includes Oko Orisa, Ilasan, Lekki, Ibeju-Lekki and Epe.

Last year, the Lagos State Government flagged off the reconstruction of the Eti-Osa-Lekki-Epe expressway. The ongoing project was flagged off by the Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu on 1st November 2020.
The first phase of the road project, which will cover 18.75km, stretching from Eleko to T-Junction in Epe, is expected to be completed in 20 months.
To maintain its sustainability and longevity, the Messers Craneburg Construction company has adopted a concrete pavement on the Eleko to T-Junction in Epe.

The government’s intervention of the dilapidated roads would see the entire stretch from Eleko to Epe dualised on the rigid pavement, with three lanes on each side. A lane on each side will be dedicated as toll weighbridges only for heavy-duty vehicles.
When completed, the road will connect several communities, including Eleko, Onosa, Alatishe, Aiyeteju, Ajaganagbe, Oko Orisa, Ilasan, Lekki, Ibeju-Lekki, and Epe.
The contractor, Craneburg Construction, will also build reinforced concrete drains, culverts, median barriers as well as install traffic lights on the roads.
