Lamborghini Celebrates Countach And LM 002 As Production Of Its V-12 Engine Ends In 2022

Lamborghini celebrates its iconic V12 with the story of the engine that powered the original Countach and the LM 002.
Production of iconic powertrain, which powered the two V12-powered four-wheeled legendary vehicles ends in 2022.
Countach gets 4-liter V12 engine, which allows a maximum speed of 309 km/h and a 0 to 100 km/h in 5.4 seconds.
Powering LM 002 is a powerful 5.2-liter V12 from Countach that allows a top-speed of 210 km/h and a 0 to 100 in 7.8 seconds.
Italian sports car maker Automobili Lamborghini is paying homage to its two V12-powered four-wheeled legendary vehicles, the Countach and the LM 002, as production of iconic V12 powertrain ends in 2022.
Lamborghini Countach
First introduced at the Geneva Motor Show in March 1971, the original Lamborghini Countach immediately became a legend thanks to its futuristic design, including its scissors doors.
Its 4-liter V12 engine, which produces 375 CV, allows the Countach to reach a maximum speed of 309 km/h and an acceleration of 0 to 100 km/h in 5.4 seconds.
From the LP 400 S, which appeared in the movie, The Cannonball Run, all the way to the new LPI 800-4, the Countach has held a special place in the hearts of aficionados all over the world.

Lamborghini LM 002
Dubbed the the “Rambo Lambo” and the “Lamborghini truck”, the millitary-style Lamborghini LM002 SUV, a precursor to the modern Urus, is the first off-road vehicle with luxury finishings and astounding performance delivery.
Featuring a powerful 5.2-liter V12 from the Countach Quattrovalvole and a rock-solid aluminum and fiberglass body, the LM 002 could climb a 120% gradient and reached a top speed of 210 km/h, with an acceleration of 0 to 100 in 7.8 seconds.
Produced between 1986 and 1993, the LM 002 is still in automotive fans’ memory as an extraordinary vehicle capable of taking on off-road terrains as easily as highways.
