India owned Land Rover is suing Chinese automaker Jiangling Motor for allegedly imitating the Range Rover Evoque. Land Rover’s spokesman informed Reuters that a court in Beijing’s eastern Chaoyang district “served Jiangling with newly filed actions surrounding copyright and unfair competition.”

The suit is due to the Landwind X7 SUV which is an imitation of the Evoque despite costing a third of its price. Land Rover claims they experienced 20% drop in the Evoque’s sales in China between January-March 2015 after the X7 was unveiled in November 2014.
