Fans of Land Rover defender can now get a scale model version of the all-new SUV for just ₦72,000

The all-new 2020 Land Rover Defender SUV was unveiled last month after several months of off-roading testings around the world.

The technically impressive off-roader will rival Sports Utility Vehicle’s like the Mercedes-Benz G-Class and the Jeep Wrangler.

To commemorate the return of the all-new Defender, Land Rover teamed up with Lego to make a 1/16-scale Technic version of its all-new SUV.

The realistic 2,573-piece set SUV includes authentic bodywork and several working functions, just like the original two-door Defender.

Part of scale down SUV includes authentic Land Rover emblems, rims and tyres. It has removable roof rack and doors, bonnet and a tail door, that can all open.

The four-wheel drive Lego SUV has in-line six-cylinder engine with moving pistons, a working winch and a four-speed sequential gearbox.

Lego said:
“I’m very excited about this new model—a truly impressive job done by our Lego Group designers”

“Together with Land Rover, we’ve blended elements, design and innovative engineering into a set that shows the boundless creativity of Lego play, and that with Lego Technic you can build for real.”

This isn’t the first time Lego has teamed up with an automaker to make a realistic brick car.

Remember the Lego-built drivable Chiron that Bugatti driver drove to a top speed of 12mph. The Chiron is the first self-propelled life-size Lego Technic car ever.

The Lego line also includes models based on the Mclaren Senna, Toyota Camry, Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 and Porsche 911 RSR.

The Lego Technic Defender is now available online through the Lego’s website for just $199.99 or about ₦72,000.
