Lando Norris Of McLaren Wins 2025 F1 World Championship
McLaren British racing driver, Lando Norris, wins 2025 F1 World Championship.
He ended 2025 season with 7 wins, 18 podiums and 7 Poles – winning by two points over Max Verstappen.
Norris’ first-ever title as F1 Champion is the first for McLaren in 17 years and its 13th overall.
He becomes the 11th British F1 world champion and Formula 1’s 35th Drivers’ World Champion.

Lando Norris of McLaren was crowned the 2025 Formula 1 World Champion on Sunday after securing the third place he needed in today’s season-ending Grand Prix at Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
The British racing driver, who made his F1 debut at 2019 Australian Grand Prix, ended the 2025 F1 season with seven wins, 18 podiums and seven Poles – winning by two points over Max Verstappen in second place.

“I mean, it feels amazing, I now know what Max feels like. I want to congratulate Max and Oscar, my two biggest competitors the whole season,” Norris said of Red Bull’s Max Verstappen and his McLaren team-mate, Oscar Piastri.
“It’s been a pleasure to race against both of them and an honour, I’ve learned a lot from both of them as well…. I’ve enjoyed it and it has been a long year but we did it and I’m so proud of everyone,” jubilant Norris added.

Norris’ first-ever title not only makes make him the 11th British F1 world champion but also Formula 1’s 35th Drivers’ World Champion. His F1 title is also the first for McLaren in 17 years and its 13th overall.
“Having broken through to become a Grand Prix-winner in 2024, Lando was eying a title challenge in 2025. Armed with a race-winning car from the first round, Lando established himself as a contender with victory in the Australia season-opener,” McLaren said of Norris after winning 2025 World Championship.
