All-new Mercedes-AMG GT XX Concept Previews An Electric Four-door Sports Car Coming Next Year
All-new Mercedes-AMG GT XX Concept previews forthcoming 4-door Series-production sports car.
GT XX’s three axial flux motors delivers more than 1,340-hp, allows it to reach speeds of more than 223 mph (360 kph).
With a DC fast-charger, its High Performance Electric Battery can charge to 400 km (248 miles) of range in five minutes.

Mercedes-Benz’s performance division has unveiled the all-new CONCEPT AMG GT XX, which provides an insight into pioneering drivetrain technology that is set to debut in a four-door series-production sports car from Mercedes‑AMG in 2026.
The CONCEPT AMG GT XX was co-developed by Mercedes global R&D network, including experts at its YASA in the UK and its Formula 1 drivetrain at Mercedes‑AMG High Performance Powertrains in Brixworth.

Based on the all-new AMG.EA architecture, the all-electric CONCEPT AMG GT XX is powered by three axial flux motors, which delivers more than 1,340-horsepower and allows it to reach speeds of more than 223 mph (360 kph).
“With the CONCEPT AMG GT XX, we have succeeded in translating our design vision for AMG into the future” said Gorden Wagener, Chief Design Officer Mercedes-Benz Group AG.

One of the highlights on the exterior is the integration of speakers into the front headlights to emit V-8 driving sounds and to serve as signals for pedestrian protection, with the brand saying that “this integration saves space, reduces weight and enables new sound variants.”
Inside, all the instruments inside driver-focused cockpit are controlled via two large LCD displays : 10.25-inch instrument cluster and the 14-inch multimedia touchscreen. The AMG GT XX has bucket seats with black seat pads covered with the Nappa-look variant.

In addition, its Yoke-style Steering Wheel – similar to that in the Mercedes-AMG ONE – has a display that uses different color codes via eight LEDs to indicate the state of charge (blue), recuperation and current performance (red).
With a DC fast-charger the CONCEPT AMG GT XX’s Formula 1-inspired High Performance Electric Battery can charge to approximately 400 kilometers (248 miles) of range in around five minutes.
