Nigeria Police unveils Hi-tech e-CMR e-enforcement patrol van and gadgets ahead of start of proposed enforcement.

With e-CMR, police officers are equipped with cutting-edge tech to verify car documents in real-time.

Notes that owners can instantly flag vehicles registered with NPF E-CMR as stolen through their online profile.





The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has unveiled its e-CMR e-enforcement patrol vehicle and gadgets ahead of start of the proposed enforcement of the the digitalized Central Motor Registry (e-CMR).

NPF said that the e-CMR will provide a firsthand database to the Force for curbing vehicular crimes as dedicated officers can access real-time comprehensive data of every vehicle on their tablets.

In a post on X on Thursday, the Force Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, stated that “with these equipment, no stress for vehicle owners and policemen on duty.”

“Technology at work. These will be launched when the police are ready for the enforcement. We, however, need to embark on massive public education and enlightenment on the importance and features of the e-CMR to Nigerians and our security system.”





The Force PRO had earlier highlighted the effectiveness of the e-CMR in solving the vehicle related crimes as well as removing the need to carry around physical documents.

“With the NPF’s new E-CMR system, you don’t need to carry around physical documents. Access all your vehicle info digitally – quick, easy, and secure.

“If your vehicle is registered with the NPF E-CMR and gets stolen, you can instantly flag it as stolen through your online profile. All field officers nationwide will be alerted within seconds Let’s make our roads safer together.”
