Last week, Marcello Gandini, the legendary Italian automotive designer passed on at the age of 85, leaving behind an incredible legacy including the now-legendary Miura considered by many as the first supercar.
Though, Gandini is known for penning several iconic Lamborghini models, including the Miura and the Countach, he is also credited with iconic shapes of cars like the 1970 Lancia Stratos Zero concept, Fiat X/19 and the Bugatti EB110.

In a 2009 interview with Robert Cumberford, editor at Automobile Magazine, Gandini indicated “his design interests are focused on vehicle architecture, construction, assembly, and mechanisms – not appearance”.
A quick visit to his wiki page reveals the complete list (over fifty cars) of Gandini’s production and concept car designs.
While he left behind a mind-bogglingly catalog of contributions to automotive aesthetics, Autojosh brings you photos of some of the over fifty production cars and concepts he had a hand in.
