Suzuki Unveils Jimny Heritage Limited Edition For The Australian Market
Suzuki has launched the Jimny Heritage Edition in celebration of the model’s “vibrant 4×4 history from the 70s, 80s, and 90s by fitting them with retro colors that reminisce those good old days.
Capped at only 300 examples, the Jimny Heritage is based on the GLX trim level and comes fitted with red mudflaps front and rear, with the latter featuring Suzuki embossing. Retro-flavored body decals are included, and customers can order the vehicle with a Black Pearl, Jungle Green, White, or Medium Grey paint finish.
The Heritage Edition gets the same 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine that the standard Jimny and Jimny Lite get, which produces around 100 horsepower and 96 pound-feet of torque. Suzuki offers a four-speed automatic transmission in other variants, but the Heritage comes exclusively with a five-speed manual gearbox. The Jimny’s ultra-compact size, short wheelbase, and almost nonexistent front and rear overhangs make it a surprisingly capable off-roader.
To sweeten the pot, Suzuki adds a Jimny Heritage cargo tray and a badge to denote it’s a limited-run version. Being a GLX version, it comes nicely equipped with automatic LED headlights, front fog lights, reversing camera, and safety systems such as lane departure warning and autonomous emergency braking. Inside, there’s a seven-inch infotainment with Android Auto and Apple Carplay, a two-speaker sound system, a leather steering wheel, satellite navigation, and climate control.
The Jimny Heritage Edition will be available in only 3 doors as the 5 door variant is about to be launched in India then globally.
