Wike, who took his oath of office alongside 44 other new Ministers, was appointed as the new Minister of FCT.

An armored Lexus LX 600 SUV fitted with ‘FCT – 01’ registration plate alleged to be owned by the former Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, has surfaced online hours after President Bola Ahmed Tinubu swore-in 45 new Ministers.

Wike, who took his oath of office on Monday 21st August alongside 44 other newly appointed Ministers of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, was appointed as the new Minister of Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

Following their swearing-in ceremony, Wike was quoted as saying he is going to be another El-Rufai, a former FCT Minister known for bringing down unapproved structures in the Federal Capital Territory.

“Those asking me whether I will be like El-Rufai are same people who said El-Rufai is the best Minister of FCT.

“So, why don’t you want me to be like him? You people don’t like performers. I’m going to be another El-Rufai.”

“It is not going to be business as usual. Those distorting Abuja Master Plan: if you build where you are not supposed to, the building will go down.”

“If you build on a green area, sorry, it will go down. Those who were allocated land and refused to develop them, we will revoke such lands and re-allocate them to those who are ready to develop them.”

The new flagship Lexus LX 600 is already the choice of luxury ride for the Presidency and some State Governors in Nigeria. The long-range Cruiser cost Two Hundred and Sixty Million Naira (₦260,000,000) while the bulletproof variant like Wike’s own cost over ₦300 Million to own in Nigeria.
