Throwback to 1987 : Ibrahim Babangida arrives Akwa-Ibom in his official car, a Mercedes-Benz 600.
A throwback photo to 1987 shows the Nigerian Military Head of State, General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida, popularly known as IBB, arriving at an event in Akwa-Ibom in a Mercedes-Benz 600.
His official car is a forerunner of the modern Mercedes-Maybach Marque. The LWB ‘Pullman’ is known for being a favourite among top politicians and dictators in the 60s and 70s. It was produced by Mercedes-Benz from 1963 to 1981.
