Toyota Hilux GR Sport II Takes The Pickup Truck To Badass Levels

The Toyota Hilux was already available as a GR Sport, but this GR Sport II goes one step further. The track width is no less than 14 centimeters (front) and 15.5 centimeters (rear) further apart than a conventional Hilux. The suspension of the Hilux GR Sport II has been adjusted and it has more powerful brakes. It has the most powerful diesel engine that Toyota can supply in the Hilux globally. That is the same 204 hp and 500 Nm strong 2.8 that is also available in combination with other versions. The GR Sport II does not gain any horsepower. The diesel engine (2.8 liters) is always connected to a seven-speed automatic transmission. You do get paddle shifters behind the steering wheel to control the transmission itself.
From the outside you recognize the Toyota Hilux GR Sport II – always as a Double Cab – by its 17-inch black alloy wheels, wide black plastic wheel arch edges, red brake calipers, special bumpers, black accents, and the necessary GR badges. The loading platform can be covered with a standard tarpaulin. You will also encounter a lot of black in the interior, although we also see red accents and red seat belts. Also new for the Hilux GR Sport: is the Smart Connect multimedia system with an 8-inch display.
