Xpeng Unveils Range Rover-inspired All-electric GX Crossover SUV

Xpeng has shared the first official photos of the all-new, all-electric GX, the Chinese brand’s first full-size Crossover SUV with exterior styling similar to the British-made Range Rover.
Officially unveiled via Weibo on February 5th 2026, the Xpeng GX Crossover SUV – which the X in the model name stands for “eXploration” – will have 6 seats with a 2+2+2 configuration.
The Xpeng GX measures 207.3 inches in length, 78.7 inches in width, and 70.9 inches in height, with a wheelbase of 122.6 inches – versus the 118 inches seen in the 5th generation (L460) Range Rover Short Wheelbase (SWB).
GX will be available in Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) and Extended Range Electric Vehicle (EREV) versions, with the latter powered by a 1.5-liter gas-powered four-cylinder turbocharger that helps drive the two electric motors.
The Xpeng GX EREV is powered by CALB-made 63.3-kWh LFP battery-pack, which provides 320 km (200 miles) of electric range before it runs out of juice. The top-speed of the GX EREV is 125 mph (200 km/h).
The GX uses Xpeng’s Kunpeng Super Electric System that applies an 800-volt electrical architecture, which offers rapid charging, allowing it to charge from 10% to 80% in around 12 minutes.
While GX look similar to Range Rover when viewed from the side, Xpeng’s new SUV’s distinct features includes a split headlights, a vertically stacked headlamp modules integrated into the bumper, and a full-width rear lighting signature.
Xpeng hasn’t shared photos of the interior, but the seats of the GX were reportedly co-developed with Nissan. It is expected to be similar to Nissan’s “fatigue-free” Zero Gravity seats that alleviates fatigue for drivers and passengers when driving.
Pricing will be announced at launch, but the GX is expected to be priced between 400,000 and 500,000 yuan ($57,600 to $72,000) – making the new flagship Xpeng’s most expensive model. Xpeng GX will rival the Li Auto L9, Aito M9, Zeekr 9X, and Denza N9 in the Chinese market.
