$2.7M Mercedes-AMG ONE Laps Nurburgring In Record Time Of 6:29 Minutes, Breaks Its Own Record
Mercedes-AMG ONE laps Nurburgring in record time of 6:29 min to break its own record at the famous 12.8-mile Green Hell.
F1-inspired hypercar bested its previous record time of 6:35.183s set two years ago on October 28, 2022 by over five seconds.
Only 275 units of the Mercedes-AMG ONE hypercar will be built, all of which are spoken for at a cost of $2.72m each.

A Mercedes-AMG ONE driven by Maro Engel has smashed its Nurburgring record for road-legal production cars after lapping the famous 12.8-mile (20.8 kilometer) Green Hell in a record time of 6:29.09s on September 23 2024.
ONE bested its previous record time of 6:35.183s set two years ago on October 28, 2022 by over five seconds, making it the first road car to ever complete a lap in under 6:30 minutes.

“Two years ago, the conditions were not ideal, and some sections of the track were still a little damp. We knew we could do more, and we wanted to show that,” said Maro Engel, Mercedes‑AMG brand ambassador.
“Today we were able to demonstrate the maximum potential of the AMG ONE. Many thanks to the whole team from Affalterbach for the trust they’ve placed in me. It was a great pleasure and honor to be able to drive this record lap with such a unique car.”

Mercedes-AMG One boasts six (6) different drive mods, including “Race Safe”, “Race”, “EV” (all-electric driving), “Race Plus” (race track only), “Strat 2” (race track only) and “Individual”.
For the record drive, Maro Engel selected the “Race Plus” driving programme, which not only lowers the vehicle by 37 mm at the front axle and 30 mm at the rear axle, but also full power from all motors.

Powered by hybridised 1.6-litre V6 adapted from Mercedes-AMG’s championship-winning 2017 F1 car, Mercedes claimed the 1000bhp-plus four-wheel-drive model has a 218mph top speed and 0-124mph in 6.0 seconds.
Mercedes-AMG ONE finally made its public debut at this year’s 2022 Goodwood Festival of Speed in November. Only 275 units of the One hypercar will be built, all of which are spoken for at a cost of $2.72m each.
