Powering the new Maybach GLS 680 is the updated electrified twin-turbo eight-cylinder engine. It delivers 603-hp and 627 lb-ft of torque—53 hp and 89 lb-ft more than outgoing model—allowing it to accelerate to 100km/h (60 mph) in 3.9 seconds and reach a top-speed of 290 km/h (174 mph).

“With the new Mercedes-Maybach GLS, we have elevated the character of our luxury SUV with even greater refinement. It combines effortless power with commanding presence. Every detail has been shaped to enhance comfort and serenity – in a way that feels unmistakably Maybach,” said Markus Bauer, Head of Mercedes-Maybach.
Mercedes-Benz has not yet announced pricing for the new Mercedes-Maybach GLS 680, but it confirmed that the flagship SUV will be assembled in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. This plant also manufactures the GLS, GLE, and all-electric models—including the EQE, EQS, and Mercedes-Maybach EQS—for global markets.
