Coronavirus: Multiple Auto Crash In Edo State As Drivers Rush To Beat The 7pm Curfew
There was multiple auto crash on the ever-busy Upper Mission Road in Edo state on Tuesday as drivers rush to beat the 7 p.m curfew.
4 vehicles, including a passenger bus, 2 cars, as well as a fully loaded 7up truck, were involved in the crash.
The race to beat the 7 p.m curfew imposed by the Edo State government led to a multiple auto crash on the ever-busy Upper Mission Road on Tuesday 28th April.
According to reports, approximately 4 vehicles, including an 18 seater passenger bus, 2 cars, as well as a fully loaded 7up truck, were involved in the crash.
As at the time of filling this report, no death was recorded at the scene of the accident.
Recall that as part of measures to curtail the coronavirus outbreak in Edo State, Governor Godwin Obaseki had on April 19 imposed a 10-day dusk-to-dawn curfew.

The curfew began on April 20, and runs from 7.00p.m. to 6.00a.m. daily.
In addition to the curfew, Obaseki also planned to increase screening and testing of citizens for the COVID-19 pandemic.
The dusk-to-dawn curfew is expected to be reviewed tomorrow as the initial 10-day lapses.
