NADDC Trains 30 Graduates On Digital Automotive Design
The National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC) has commenced the training of youths on how to design and develop automobiles digitally.
The training was flagged off in Sokoto with 30 youths drawn from the seven states of the northwest geopolitical zone.
The training is in collaboration with the with Midas IT Company of South Korea.
The same training would be conducted in other geo-political zones of the country, the Director General of the council, Jelani Aliyu, said.
He said the two-week programme was aimed at opening opportunities for youths. This was necessary to make their lives, society and the country better. NADDC
“We have done many trainings in technical aspect of automotive concept and repairing them. Now we are moving to the next level which is to empower these creative Nigerians. This is important for them to begin to be part of the research and development process of the automotive sector.
“The Midas NFX software will allow mechanical and automotive design and development digitally. NADDC
“So we hope to empower them to play their role in the design and development of automobile”.
He added that, at the end of the training they would be given set of tools.
The NADDC was formed from the merger of the National Automotive Council and the Centre for Automotive Design and Development as a Parastatal of the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment.
To create an enabling environment for the manufacture of Nigerian made vehicles of international standards at competitive prices using local human and material resources. NADDC
