80 roofless Ferrari Monza sports cars, worth about $2 Million each, caught in heavy rain at owner event.
The Cavalcade brought together Monza SP1 and SP2 from more than twenty nations during an exclusive 3-day event.
Unveiled in 2018, the Monza SP1 and SP2 are inspired by evocative masterpieces in the history of the Prancing Horse.
The very first Ferrari Cavalcade Icona gathered 80 Ferrari Monza roofless sports cars from more than twenty nations during an exclusive 3-day event held in Italy last month.
The Ferrari Cavalcade Icona brought together the Monza SP1 and SP2, which are limited series vehicles inspired by evocative masterpieces in the history of the Prancing Horse.
The ultra-expensive parade of roofless SP1 and SP2 sports cars, which started from Milan, saw a stop at a high-class restaurant and a stay at a five-star hotel, before ending up in Fiorano – the home racetrack of Ferrari.
Following a nice drive in the Italian countryside, owners parked their roofless cars for a group photo next to the track, before things went not as planned after an heavy rain began to fall.
Footage of the unexpected shower shared by YouTuber Varryx shows Ferrari employees scrambling to figure out a way to cover the 80 seven-figure, uber-rare collectibles.
We don’t know the extent of damage done to the Sports cars at the time of writing, but the Monza’s interior has glossy carbon fiber that will allow the rain water to dry off easily.
The incredibly lavish interior also features carpets, supple leather, and soft Alcantara that may likely get soaked before they could be covered.
Unveiled in 2018, the Monza SP1 and SP2 are the forerunners of the “Icona” line which celebrates Ferrari’s tradition with timeless design, reinterpreted in line with the most innovative technologies and materials.
Only Ferrari’s most loyal customers and collectors had the chance to buy the limited edition cars that was limited to just 500 examples, witheach costing about £1million.
