Wuling, World’s Cheapest Electric Car Crashes Into Mercedes-Benz GLC – SUV Came Out Worse

Hongguang Mini, known locally as Wuling, and Mercedes-Benz GLC involved in a low-speed fender-bender.

Pictures shares seems to show that the more expensive Mercedes-Benz GLC SUV came out worse during the crash.

At $4,465 and $5,000 for the version with A.C, Wuling is massively outselling Tesla Model 3 sedan in China.

Wuling Hongguan Mini EV, the world’s cheapest Electric Vehicle (EV) and Mercedes-Benz GLC recently got involved in a low-speed fender-bender in China.

Details of the crash wasn’t revealed, but pictures taken at scene seems to show that the more expensive Mercedes-Benz GLC sports utility vehicle (SUV) worth US$44,000 came out worse during the crash.

Wuling

The four-seat Hongguang Mini, known locally as Wuling, is being made as a joint venture between SAIC Motor, Liuzhou Wuling Motors, and US car giant, General Motors (GM).

With a starting price of just 28,800 yuan ($4,465) and $5,000 for the version with A.C, Wuling is massively outselling Tesla Model 3 sedan in China.

It comes with two battery options. The 9.3-kWh battery-pack has a cruising range of 120 km (75 miles) while the 13.9-kWh battery will take you 170 km (106 miles) before needing recharge. The electric powertrain offers a top speed of 62 mph.
