UK PACT, A UK Government Team, Visits DG NADDC To Support Electric Vehicles In Nigeria

NADDC is Championing the development and utilization of carbonless Electric Vehicles (EVs) and Autogas programme in Nigeria.
UK Partnering for Accelerated Climate Transitions (UK PACT) is a programme funded by the UK Government.
UK PACT supports countries to have high emissions reduction potential to accelerate their climate change mitigation efforts.
The UK Partnering for Accelerated Climate Transitions (UK PACT) team over the weekend visited the Director General/CEO of NADDC Mr. Jelani Aliyu, MFR, on a mission to Nigeria to engage with stakeholders working towards Nigeria’s Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC), Climate Change Act, and Energy Transition Plan implementation.
The National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC) is Championing the development and utilization of carbonless Electric Vehicles (EVs) and Autogas programme in Nigeria. These projects are of interest to UK PACT Team and hence their visit to the NADDC as part of their stakeholders consultative mission to the country.
Members of the team are :
Joseph Tyrrell, Senior UK International Climate Finance Adviser, Abdulmutalib Yussuff, UK PACT Programme Lead, and Simona Majernikova, UK PACT Skillshare Lead.
