Yoon Suk-yeol, a conservative from the People Power Party, was sworn in as the 13th president of South Korea on May 10, 2022, replacing the former President Moon Jae-in.

During his inauguration, Yoon Suk-yeol, who rode in a locally-made custom armored Hyundai Equus Stretch Edition, was seen waving to crowds through the roof of the new official state car.

While Yoon Suk-yeol will be using armored Hyundai Equus Stretch Edition, the former President, Moon Jae-in, used a highly modified Hyundai Nexo SUV, Genesis EQ900 and a Mercedes-Maybach W222 S600 Guard as his official state cars.
