Buhari Commission Dangote Oil Refinery

President, Muhammadu Buhari, on Monday May 2023 commissioned the first privately owned refinery in Nigeria, the Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals at the Lekki Free Zone, Ibeju Lekki in Lagos.

Dignitaries at the commissioning of Dangote Oil Refinery and Petrochemicals includes Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the Vice President-elect, Kashim Shettima, and President Nana Akufo-Addo of Ghana.





Governor Sanwo-Olu, while commending Dangote, said the business mogul is a completely detribalised Nigerian who has impacted many lives positively.

LASG Officially Launches Electric Mass Transit Buses For Passenger Operations

The Lagos State Government through the Lagos Bus Service Limited (LBSL) has officially launched the revolutionary proof-of-concept phase of the Electric Vehicle (EV) mass transit buses for passenger operations in the State.





According to the Lagos State Government, each of these electric buses has the ability to travel 280km at full charge, which far exceeds an average daily usage of 200-kilometers from existing diesel-powered BRTs.

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu had on April 30th announced the arrival of the first set of Yutong electric buses for the state’s mass transit scheme as part of the State Government’s increased effort to modernise every sector of Lagos.

Buhari Unveils The Second Niger Bridge, 1.6-km Bridge Named After The President

President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday May 23rd 2023 unveiled the Second Niger Bridge. The new bridge links Asaba in Delta State to Onitsha in Anambra State and other regions in the South-East.

Buhari, who performed the opening via Zoom, said the bridge was one of the critical infrastructures delivered by his administration to fight poverty, promote economic growth and ensure progress for the people.

The new 1.6 kilometers-long bridge was officially named after President Muhammadu Buhari by the Governors of the south-east region of Nigeria.
