Again, Volvo Teases EM90 Luxury Minivan Before November 12 Debut

Volvo shares new teaser images of its upcoming EM90 Electric Premium MPV ahead of 12 November debut.

Swedish brand already revealed that pre-order of the EM90 will start for customers in China on the same date.

EM90 may be based on the Zeekr 009 Minivan as both brands are owned by Geely, which also controls Lotus and Polestar.

Volvo EM90 will rival Lexus LM, Zeekr 009 and Denza D9 – these three models already available in the lucrative Chinese market.

Geely-owned Swedish automaker, Volvo Cars, has released yet another set of teaser images of it upcoming EM90 Electric Premium MPV, ahead of its global debut on 12 November 2023.

One of the teaser images snapped from a home shows the reflection of EM90’s running LED taillights on the curtains while another reveals the side front of the Minivan, including its silver and black wheels.

Volvo hasn’t revealed the powertrain and performance, but the EM90 may likely be based on the Zeekr 009 Minivan as both brands are owned by Geely, the Chinese automotive giant that also controls Lotus and Polestar.

The Zeekr 009 starts at around $73,700 and its 116.0-kWh battery-pack allows 436 miles, while the higher-end model with 140.0-kWh battery-pack (510 miles) has a starting price of $86,800.

Volvo already revealed that pre-order of the upcoming EM90, its first electric premium multi-purpose vehicle (MPV), will start for customers in China on the same date.

When it finally arrives in the market, the Volvo EM90 will likely rival premium MPVs like the 2024 Lexus LM, the Zeekr 009 and the Denza D9 – three models that are already available in the lucrative Chinese market.
