Nairametrics’ Founder Forced To Pay N60k To Area Boys Who Helped To Fix His Tyre On Third Mainland Bridge

Nairametrics’ founder, Ugodre, forced to pay N60k to Area boys who helped to fix his car tyre on 3rd Mainland Bridge.

According to him, the damaged tyre was bought brand new for Sixty Thousand Naira (N60,000) just four days before the incident.

Explaining why he paid them N60k, he said the ‘tip’ was better than than losing his life or even having his iPhone siezed from him.

The Founder/Chief Analyst of Nairametrics, Ugochukwu (Ugodre) Obi-Chukwu, has narrated how he was forced to pay N60,000 to Area boys after one of the new tyres on his vehicle got damaged on Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos.

Explaining why he paid the huge amount of money to the Area boys who helped him change the tyre and fixed the spare, he said the ‘tip’ was better than than losing his life or even having his iPhone siezed from him.

He also shared pictures of the damaged Tyre on his official X page, which he claimed was bought brand new for Sixty Thousand Naira (N60,000) just four days before the incident.

“I’ve been hearing tails of fake new tyres until it happened to me this evening on 3mb.

“Tyre is just 4 days old and cost N60k. I also paid area boys N60k in “road taxes” to leave safely.

“You know what’s funny. The guys actually gave me a UBA account to make the transfer. Areas boys also have bank accounts

“Oh I should also add that the area boys also helped remove the bad tyres and fixed the spare.

“And for those wondering why I gave them the N60k. Well, sometimes you have to choose wisely by cutting your losses quickly and early.

“When you have to choose between a dirty slap, being thrown into the water below or having them sieze your iPhone. You immediately see N60k as a great deal.”
