Inside Xiaomi’s Smart Super Factory where robots builds one SU7 all-electric sedan every 1 minute 30 seconds.

At its EV factory in Beijing, more than 700 robots carry out tasks such as installation, inspection, and transportation.

Chinese smartphone manufacturer, Xiaomi, officially unveiled its first all-electric car, the SU7, on March 28, 2024.

The SU7 is currently available in three versions — the SU7, SU7 Pro and the SU7 Max, all priced between €27,800 and €38,600.





To cope with the overwhelming demand, Xiaomi is aiming for a remarkable 100,000 deliveries in its first year of production.

Chinese smartphone manufacturer, Xiaomi, officially unveiled its first all-electric car, the SU7, on March 28, 2024. The SU7 is currently available in three versions — the SU7, SU7 Pro and the SU7 Max, all priced between 215,900 yuan (€27,800) and 299,900 yuan (€38,600).

To cope with the overwhelming demand for the SU7 electric sedan , Xiaomi is aiming for a remarkable 100,000 deliveries in its first year of production and up to 900,000 units over the following three years.





Now, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer has given us a sneak shot of its Super Factory in Beijing, China, where more than 700 robots carry out tasks such as installation, inspection, and transportation.

According to the brand’s founder, chairman, and CEO, Lei Jun, the automated production line at its factory can build forty (40) SU7 sedans per hour, which is equivalent to a new car rolling off the assembly line every 1 minutes 30 seconds or 90 seconds.

Despite being a newcomer in the electric vehicle (EV) market, Xiaomi’s SU7 has swiftly captured the interest of consumers in China. As of April 20, the Xiaomi SU7 had surpassed 70,000 locked-in orders.

Due to overwhelming demand, Xiaomi has scaled up its planned production unit per month from about 6,000 vehicles to about 10,000 vehicles, with a promise of fulfilling 100,000 orders by the end of 2024.
