Due To Fire Hazards, BMW Is Recalling Over 29,000 Cars In The US
German automaker BMW will recall 29,119 vehicles from the U.S. market due to a defect in the engine’s electric starter relay that can corrode, overheat and short circuit, increasing the risk of fires, the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) said.
According to reports by Reuters, the recall encompasses multiple models, specifically the BMW 530e xDrive and 740Le xDrive, alongside select variants within the BMW iPerformance line.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has confirmed that authorized dealerships will provide complimentary replacements for the faulty electric motor starter to all affected owners, thereby resolving the identified defect.
