In The First Half Of 2026, Stellantis Saw A 3.8% Rise In EU Car Sales
* In the first half of 2026, Stellantis registered 1.370 million vehicles, an increase of 3.8% compared to 2025, gaining a market share of 16.7%.
* Combined with the results of Leapmotor International, sales growth rises to 7.3%, while market share increases to 17.4% (+0.3 percentage points compared to 2025)
* Stellantis is number 1 in segments A and B in the EU30. Fiat Pandina is an absolute bestseller in Italy, and Peugeot 208 in France. The Smart Car line (Citroen C3 Aircross, Fiat Grande Panda and Opel Frontera) more than doubled sales volume, maintaining a strong foothold in the B-segment
* Fiat (+21.7%), Citroen (+8.3%) and Opel (+7.4%) achieved solid sales results, growing more than the entire industry
* Among the main markets, Stellantis recorded positive growth in Germany (+7.2%), Great Britain (+4.7%), Italy (+4.5%), Belgium (+1.5%) and Spain (+0.8%), while exceptional results were also recorded in Austria (+31%), Poland (+10.1%) and Portugal (+5.2%).
* Stellantis Pro One remains the number 1 player in the light commercial vehicle (LCV) market, with a market share of 28.7%
* Stellantis is also the first in the segment of hybrid passenger cars, with a market share of 17.3%
The European automotive market continued its positive momentum in the first half of 2026, and Stellantis also saw growth, increasing registrations by 3.8% compared to 2025.
Stellantis Operations Director Emanuele Capellano stated, “In H1 2026, we sustained our positive momentum, solidifying EU30 leadership in A and B segments with 67,000 additional registrations—rising to 93,000 including Leapmotor. Additionally, Stellantis Pro One retains its top position in the light commercial vehicle sector.”
Stellantis led the Italian market in H1 2026 with 4.5% sales growth, five of the top six best-sellers, and Leapmotor dominating EVs In France, Stellantis maintained market leadership with a 28.8% share, featuring four top-ten models, including the overall leader, the Peugeot 208.
In Germany, against a generally positive market background, Opel achieved particularly strong results, with passenger car sales up 14.5%, while the Opel Corsa remained the leading model in the city car segment.
