The newly appointed Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Akeem Owoade, visited Oyo town for the very first time last week shortly after receiving the staff of office and certificate of appointment from Governor Seyi Makinde on January 13th 2025.
In photos posted online, the Alaafin-elect was seen waving through the sunroof of a black Mercedes-Benz G-Class (G-Wagon) as he passes residents and dignitaries who had gathered to celebrate the significant moment in their history.
