Dangote Peugeot Automobiles Nigeria Limited (DPAN) commences the assembly of Peugeot 3008 GT.
3008 GT joins Peugeot lineup that is being assembled at DPAN’s state-of-the-art assembly plant in Kaduna.
DPAN is a Joint Venture (JV) owned by Dangote Industries Limited, Kaduna and Kebbi States Govt as well as the Stellantis Group.
JV commenced the assembly of Peugeot brand of vehicles at its newly built Green Field Assembly Plant in Kaduna in February 2022.
Dangote Peugeot Automobiles Nigeria Limited (DPAN), the official manufacturer and marketer of Peugeot vehicles in Nigeria, has commenced the assembly of the GT model of the Peugeot 3008 — a globally successful and award-winning SUV.
Equipped with a high-performance 1.6-liter turbo engine, the 3008 GT premium trim joins the Peugeot lineup that is being assembled at DPAN’s state-of-the-art assembly plant in Kaduna.
Speaking about the latest addition to the Made-in-Nigeria Peugeot range, Chief Commercial Officer, Dangote Peugeot Automobiles Nigeria Limited (DPAN), Umar Isa -Kaita, said :
“A premium trim level of the Peugeot 3008 SUV, the new GT model being assembled by DPAN features auto headlights, fog lamps, day running lights, sunroof with sliding function and covering, and 17-inch alloy wheels.
“Just as in its older siblings, safety, whether active or passive, has not been compromised in the 3008 produced with the needs of the Nigerian market and motoring environment in mind.”
“For a long-distance drive on the highway, the vehicle’s cruise control enables the driver to maintain a preset speed without having the need to press the accelerator pedal.”
Dangote Peugeot Automobiles Nigeria Limited (DPAN) is a Joint Venture (JV) between Dangote Industries Limited, Kaduna and Kebbi States Government as well as the Stellantis Group, the technical partner and parent company of Peugeot.
DPAN finally commenced the assembly of Peugeot brand of vehicles at its newly built Green Field Assembly Plant in Kaduna in February 2022, nearly four years after joint owners received approval from the Nigerian regulator.
The newly built Green Field Assembly Plant, which can assemble 120 vehicles per day across two shifts, currently produces the 301, Landtrek, 3008 Compact Crossover SUV, 5008 and the new 508.
