All-new BMW Speedtop Is A Shooting Brake Version Of Open-air Skytop Limited To Just 70 Units

BMW unveils Concept Speedtop, the shooting brake version of the open-air Skytop limited to just 70 units. 

Speedtop shares eye-catching form language with the Skytop, including a V-shape front end, illuminated kidney grille. 

Powering the production Speedtop is “the most powerful V8 engine currently offered by BMW”.

The 4.4-liter twin-turbo engine, which cranks out 617 horsepower, allows it to rocket from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.3 seconds.

BMW has unveiled an exclusive new BMW Concept Speedtop at the 2025 Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este 2025, the renowned celebration of historic vehicles on the shores of Lake Como in Italy.

The BMW Concept Speedtop is a shooting brake version of the open-air Skytop revealed last year, and like the latter, it will be offered to collectors and connoisseurs in a strictly limited small series.

Finished in “Floating Sunstone Maroon” exterior paint, the Speedtop shares eye-catching form language with the Skytop, including a V-shape front end and the illuminated kidney grille as well as the central spline from the bonnet over the roof to the rear spoiler.

The color scheme of the exterior is carried into the cabin, with a two-tone leather upholstery – “Sundown Maroon” leather on the dashboard while “Moonstone White” leather dresses the seats and the door panels.

Powering the production Speedtop is “the most powerful V8 engine currently offered by BMW” — a 4.4-liter twin-turbo engine, which cranks out 617 horsepower, allowing it to rocket from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.3 seconds.

While production of the Skytop Convertible was limited to 50 units worldwide, BMW said 70 examples of the Speedtop will be available to collectors and enthusiasts, adding that this extraordinary vehicle is now available for order.

“Last year, the presentation of the BMW Concept Skytop at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este on Lake Como generated great enthusiasm among connoisseurs and automotive enthusiasts,” says Bernd Körber, Senior Vice President BMW Brand and Product Management.

“This led to a strictly limited production run of 50 units. Thanks to this positive response, this year we have decided to also offer the BMW Concept Speedtop in a limited production series of 70 units.”
