An all-electric Tesla Cybertruck widely believed to be the only one in the whole of Uganda has suffered a massive amount of damage during a rollover accident while racing around a local dirt race track.

Footage of the incident, which popped up on Reddit last week, shows the moment the Cybertruck rolled onto its roof before coming to rest on the driver’s side while trying to navigate a tight turn at high speed.

While there was reportedly no life loss during the crash, the same cannot be said for the Cybertruck, with photos and videos of the aftermath showing a significant damage to the panoramic glass while the body panels also had scratches and dents due to the rollover.

This privately imported Cybertruck was reviewed last month by a Ugandan outlet, Daily Monitor, who recalled how photos of the American-made truck generated a significant buzz across social media about five months ago.

“When Roland Nasasira got behind the wheel of Uganda’s first Tesla
Cybertruck, he discovered that the
American-made electric beast is more than just a viral sensation; it is a bold mix of innovation, simplicity, and raw futuristic power, built to survive even Kampala’s roads,” Daily Monitor wrote in a subscription article sighted by Autojosh.

“About five months ago, social media was awash with photos of the American-made Tesla Cybertruck on a car carrier. The big question then was how Ugandans could afford such a futuristic machine.”
