1-of-500 Lexus LFA Worth $1 Million Departs Nigeria For U.S To Meet Its New Owner
1-of-500 Lexus LFA worth $1 million departs Nigeria for U.S to meet its new owner.

The one and only Lexus LFA in Nigeria ( and maybe in the whole of Africa) has departed the country for the United States, where the rare limited-edition sports car will now begin a new chapter within its new owner’s car collection.
In a video shared by Car Continent, the Lexus LFA was seen atop a custom pallet while being carefully loaded inside the cargo hold of an aircraft with a scissor lift loader, also known as a cargo loader.

According to Car Continent, the former owner just sold the rare LFA for an undisclosed amount. The pinnacle of the F Marque is a sought-after collector’s item as just 500 units of the LFA were built between 2010 and 2012.

While Autojosh can’t say how much was paid to own this example, the price of the limited-edition Lexus LFA has increased from around £345k (approximately $530k) at the time of release to over $1 million due to its status as a sought-after collector’s item.
One recently fetched around $924k while two examples of the LFA Nürburgring Package were snapped at auctions for $1.875 million and $1.625 million in November 2023 and March 2022 respectively.

Last September, Autojosh reported how popular Lagos-based car spotter, YL_The Car Guy, went into excitement after capturing the limited-edition Lexus LFA sports car cruising somewhere in Lagos, Nigeria.
Featuring a carbon fiber-reinforced polymer body, production version of the Lexus LFA debuted at the Tokyo Motor Show in October 2009—commemorating Lexus’s 20th anniversary.

LFA’s driver-focused interior features two bucket seats and steering wheel with a right-mounted start button while power comes from a V10 power plant created by Lexus with inputs from Yamaha, F1 and Moto GP engineers.
This 4.8 litre V10 engine puts out between 560 (standard) and 570 (Nürburgring Edition) of breathtaking power, allowing the LFA to rocket from 0 to 100 km/h (62mph) in just 3.7 seconds and a top speed of 202mph (325km/h).
