Alaafin Of Oyo Arrives In Style At Oba Akamo 60th Birthday In Mercedes S500

This is the moment Alaafin Of Oyo Oba Lamidi Adeyemi arrives in style at Oba Akamo’s 60th birthday in his latest ride, a Mercedes-Benz S500 sedan.
The S500 joins his impressive collection of luxury cars that includes a Lexus GX 470; customized limousine; and a Toyota Land Cruiser Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV).
It’s a double celebration for the Olu of Itori Land, Oba AbdulFatai Akorede Akamo, as the monarch marked his 60th birthday party in style on October 1st 2020.
The ceremony had several traditional rulers and dignitaries in attendance; including His Royal Highness, the Alaafin of Oyo, Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi III.

The Alaafin of Oyo, accompanied by some of his Queens, was chauffeured to the ceremony in his latest ride, a Mercedes-Benz S500 sedan.
His Royal Highness, the Alaafin of Oyo, Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi III is the 43rd Alaafin of Oyo. He is one of the highest-ranking monarchs in Yorubaland. He succeeded Alaafin Gbadegesin Ladigbolu II in 1970.
His latest ride joins his impressive collection of luxury cars that includes a Lexus GX 470; customized limousine; and a Toyota Land Cruiser Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV).
The Mercedes-Benz S-Class, also known as the W222, is a luxury automobile with an imposing appearance.
Inside, it features genuine leather; 2 large displays screens; a heads-up display; massage seats; premium Burmester sound system and gesture control infotainment system.
Other features includes stereo cameras that can read the road ahead and communicate with the Active Body Control suspension to ready it for an uneven road surface.
Powering the S500 is a twin-turbo V8 producing 455 hp which send power to the wheels through a 7-speed automatic transmission.
