Dubai Police Flies Its Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Supercar To Italy For Classic Car Race
Dubai Police flies its V8 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG supercar to Italy to take part in 1,600-kilometre Classic Car Race.
The V8 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG is one of several cars in Dubai Police fleet.
The police department also has a Bugatti Veyron and Bentley Continental GT.
Dubai Police boasts the fastest and the most expensive patrol cars on the planet, now one of these cars, a Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG will take part in the Mille Miglia Brescia-Rome round trip on June 16.
The V8 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG was recently delivered to Milan in Italy by Emirates SkyCargo. It will compete in the 1,600-kilometre event from Brescia in the northern region of Lombardy to the capital Rome and back.
Brig Jamal Salem Al Jalaf, director of the Criminal Investigation Department in Dubai Police, said :
“Our participation in the race symbolises the UAE’s efforts to bring safety and security at home and to promote mutual dialogue and respect with other cultures globally,”

The V8 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG, decked out in the green and white Dubai Police livery, will join the race on June 16. It is capable of reaching 100kph in just over three seconds and has a top speed of 315 kilometers per hour.
It is one of several cars in Dubai Police fleet. The police department also has Bugatti Veyron and Bentley Continental GT.
The open-door Mille Miglia, founded in 1926, initially ran from 1927 until 1957. It has taken place annually in Italy since 1977. Prizes are won for completing stages on time, rather than competing to be fastest.
