EID-FITRI: FAAN Beefs Up Security At Airports, Play Host To Travellers Ahead Of Celebrations
Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) beefs up security at Airports, play host to travellers ahead of EID-FITRI celebrations.
It enjoined travelers to look out for directional signals for guidance, as well as abide by all safety and security instructions.
Ahead of the festivities, the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has assured all airport users that Nigerian airports under its management are fully ready to play host to air travelers during this Sallah celebration.
This was contained in a statement made available to newsmen by the Acting General Manager, Corporate Affairs, FAAN, Mrs. Faithful A. Hope-Ivbaze on Saturday.
Hope- Ivbaze pointed out that, as part of the Authority’s preparations to ensure seamless facilitation of passengers during the Sallah celebrations and beyond, security has been beefed up at the airports.

According to her, travelers are enjoined to look out for directional signals at the Airports for guidance, as well as abide by all safety and security instructions at the Airports.
“The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) hereby assures all airport users that Nigerian Airports under its Management are fully ready to play host to air travelers during this Sallah celebration.
“As part of our preparations to ensure seamless facilitation of our highly esteemed passengers during the Sallah celebrations and beyond, security has been beefed up at the Airports.
“Also, facilities at our Airports have been generally improved upon and are functioning optimally. In addition, all other logistics have been upgraded and strengthened to provide for the expected increase in passenger traffic in and around our Airports.
“Travellers are enjoined to look out for directional signs at the Airports for guidance, as well as abide by all safety and security instructions at the Airports.
“While we advise the general public and intended travelers to make early preparations towards completing their travel requirements in good time, we will also like to re-state that receiving of dignitaries at restricted areas by security agents and airport officials is prohibited and anyone found wanting will be prohibited,” the statement added.
